To Hack or Not to Hack? Twitter Version

There are a lot of reasons why people join Twitter and would want as many followers as they possibly can. Maybe this is their way of making more friends (especially if you are an introvert who becomes an extrovert in the world wide web). Maybe it's a way to get attention from their favorite celebrity (Twitter has bought celebrities and their fans way closer than you can imagine). Or maybe they just want bragging rights that they have a few thousand followers. Whatever it is, there are different ways that you can increase the number of followers in your Twitter profile, and you can either do this by hacking the easy way or hacking the hard way. Let's start with the easy way first. Did you know that there are Twitter hacking tools available on the Internet? Like other hacking tools, they claim to have software, that when downloaded, will allow you to add the number of followers you want added in your account. This method, if it works, will allow you to have as many as a thousand followers in mere minutes. But like any short cut method, it has kinks too. You have to be careful when downloading these Twitter hack tools because not everything is legit and if you decide to go this route, make sure that you scan the software first with an antivirus program before running it in your system. Some of these hacking tools are really viruses or malware waiting to infect your device. Another disadvantage of opting for this route is since the followers were randomly chosen, once they find out they have "followed" you, they will wonder who you are and may remember that they have not followed you at all, at least not consciously and might just unfollow you.

If you want a more secure method of increasing your Twitter followers, you might want to opt for hacking it the hard way. It's not really hacking in a literal sense, but since the goal is to increase your followers by unnatural means, then we can still call it that way. To do this, you have to become very visible in the Twitterverse. And how do you become very visible? One way is to market and advertise yourself out there that you have a Twitter account and that people can follow you. Paste your "Follow me on Twitter" link in your email signature, in your blog, in your FB profile in the signatures when you leave comments in the forums - anywhere! Another way to increase visibility is having your fave celebs follow you and you can do this by direct messaging them (sending an @message). This does not work often, but when it works, the rewards can be a staggering increase in followers. And still another way is geared to getting followers with the same hobbies or likes. You can try searching first your favorite hobby and look for people with a similar hobby who have a lot of followers.
