How to Hack Facebook Accounts?

Facebook has become the top social media site of today ever since its conception in 2004. It wiped out its major competitors, Friendster and mySpace, and though other social media sites have sprouted over the years, no one has ever surpassed Facebook. Now, a lot of people want to hack Facebook accounts for a number of different reasons. It may be personal in nature, where a suspicious or paranoid boyfriend or girlfiend wants to find out if their partners are cheating on them, or it may be for financial reasons, or just to "steal" tokens from apps or games or it may just be for laughs. And below are some of the tips and tricks shared by hackers on how they took over Facebook accounts anonymously. One person shared that he was able to hack FB accounts using Oauth. What is Oauth, you may ask? Well, OAuth or Open Authorization is an standard set for token based authentication and authorization on the world wide web. It allows a user's account information to be used by a third party service, such as Facebook, without the need to reveal the owner's password. The process itself is a bit complicated, having to be familiar with how links and URL's are generated and manipulating them but the end result seems to be a legit hack on any Facebook account. Then there's phishing. No, I did not misspell it with the word "fishing". Phishing is a type of defrauding activity where an online account holder is being required to type his or her financial information by the defrauder who is posing as a legitimate company. Phishing is still one of the most common methods used in hacking Facebook accounts. The possibilities seem endless when it comes to the number of ways an account can be hacked by phishing. One is where the defrauder makes a fake log in page which looks like the real Facebook page and then asks the victim to log in. When the victim logs in, all his personal information is then kept in a text file and sent to the defrauder. Another method is called key logging. Key logging is probably one of the least challenging ways to hack a Facebook password. The process itself has become all too easy and too dangerous that even a number of computer geeks and hackers still fall for it (if you have read Dan Brown's novel, Digital Fortress, you'll understand what I'm talking about). A key logger is a software that, when installed in victim's PC, will record anything and everything they type on their computer. The keys they typed in are then sent to the defrauder, usually to the latter's email address. These are only a few of the many known ways to hack a Facebook account. So if you are on the victim's side of things, I suggest that you protect yourself by making sure that you only log in to your Facebook in a device that you alone are using or just change passwords every so often.
